Namco Bandai has finally unveiled the next Tales game that they had been teasing us with - Tales of Xillia 2, a sequel that will take place one year after the events of the first game.
The game would be released for the PS3. Singer Hamazaki Ayumi will be
returning to sing the theme song for the game, while the animated
sequences will be produced by Studio ufotable.
The game will be centered around main protagonist Rudgar and his pet
cat Lulu, along with a eight-year-old girl named Elle. One of the key
theme of the game is choice, and the player can make important decisions
that changes the course of the game by pressing the L1/R1 decisions. As
for the battle system, players have access to dual sword, dual guns or a
hammer, and the XDR-LMBS (Cross Double Raid-Linear Motion Battle
System) allows you to switch between them almost instantaneously.
